Mr. Cammon and Mr. Mekic, Welcome to TMSA!

TMSA welcomes two new Board members, Mr. Carlton L. Cammon and Mr. Fahrudin Mekic, to the TMSA Board of Directors.

Mr. Cammon and Mr. Mekic have joined TMSA from the former QCSS Board. The QCSS Board dissolved itself last month after The North Carolina State Board of Education had approved the merger of QCSS with TMSA Public Charter Schools.

They will represent TMSA Charlotte (Queen City STEM School) in the TMSA Board. On the TMSA Board, each LEA is fairly represented according to the school student numbers, population diversity and the skills set and expertise needed. With their addition, the TMSA Board now has 9 members in total.

Mr. Carlton L. Cammon has been a Senior Internal Auditor at American Red Cross since November 2016. Mr. Cammon received a Master's of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Bachelor's of Science degree in Management Information Systems, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina. He served on the QCSS Board for seven years. Before QCSS, he had served on the TMSA Board for three years. You can reach him at [email protected]

Mr. Fahrudin Mekic is the Vice President of North America Oracle, possessing 20 years of experience in the electric utility industry. He received his Bachelor's of Science and Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Istanbul Technical University, Turkey, respectively. He also holds an M.B.A. in Finance from DeSales University, Pennsylvania. Mr. Mekic is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
